1. Pick fresh strawberries! This will make a big difference!


2. Get the supplies you'll need ready & cleaned!





3. MASH berries!
Tip: This is a good time to make a smoothie or daiquiri in order to keep from drinking all the smashed berries!
4. Mash....

6. Sterilize jars in boiling water.



6. Add Lemon, Sugar & Pectin & boil on the stove


Tip: It helps if you have a cat to keep you company....

especially if she's extra cute!
7. Use a funnel to pour the boiling hot jam into the jars. Fill up almost to the top & be sure to wipe off the rim!
8. Arrange sealed cans to be boiled for another 20 minutes or so

Tip: Be sure the water generously covers the tops of the cans...and if it doesn't....don't add water! "Why", you ask?
because this will happen....
and it can be rather dangerous when the bottoms of glass bust off...
9. Finally, eat the left overs that won't fill a can & enjoy the fruits of your labor (no pun intended...well just a little)
