We were greeted by a little house guest when we first moved into Clemmer st. He lived in a small Elmo tank & didn't have a name (well...we didn't know it).
You all know that I'm an animal lover, but the thought of keeping this little finned guy didn't settle well with me. I didn't want to flush him with no cause either so I was torn. You will never believe who stepped up to ease me of my dilemma...John David Turner.
John was actually excited about the fish and wanted to buy him a new tank. He's a blue beta fish so he doesn't need much room, but John insisted on getting him a 1 gallon tank with changeable filters & a pump to make sure his water gets enough oxygen. It also has a LED light with changeable colors! I had in mind a new fish bowl...but at that a bowl. I find myself standing in the aisle at Wal-Mart with around $30 of fish equipment trying to get John to change his mind and just flush him. I'm embarrassed to admit it...it's like Phoebe who finally tries on a fur coat and likes it! I like the fish, but I kinda like $30 more. John refused and said we buy this stuff or I have to flush him myself...we all know that would not happen.
So....here is Frank. I made John name him since he is HIS fish. I really really don't want to keep him and have tried to get John to take him to his office in Dalton, but he's not allowed. If anyone knows of a good home for Frank, please let me know!
John reminded me of a little kid when we got home and he started setting up the tank. He wanted Frank in his new home right then no matter how late it was. Quote of the night, "Fish are cool!" by Mr. Turner himself.

we have had fish. and i am also an animal lover. however, i am also known to flush fish when the rest of the house is napping and the fish bowl was dirty and i knew i'd have to clean it. it's sad, but true.
