A friend of mine recently talked about what a busy season her life is currently in & it got me thinking...I remember in college when I really thought I was the busiest person alive. I've since realized that having a paper due on the same night as Hoe Down doesn't quite count as "busy." Ignorance is bliss isn't it!?
I can honestly say that each year since college my life has gotten busier and busier. How that has happened is a question I can't seem to answer! I really don't live that exciting of a life but somehow I can tell you an outline of my plans up until February. Wasn't life simpler when time only existed as semesters and plans for Friday night!? I remember calling my in-laws this May to ask them about plans for a particular weekend in November. They laughed out loud. On that same calendar I just counted that I only have 11 days out of the entire month of November that I'm actually in town with unknown plans at the current time.
I'm not complaining. I'm just observing. I guess I didn't really expect life to get busier after college since there was so much to do then. It's just less papers and parties & more work travel and baby showers.
I know that I'll look back on this time in my life after I have kids and think "what did I feel like I was busy!?" I'm busier than ever without running kids to soccer practice and clearing the schedule for a PTO meeting. The thought of mommy-hood and becoming even busier slightly freaks me out. I'm already running at a pace I'd like to slow down to a jog! I don't know how moms--especially of more than one kiddo--survive!
Are you currently in the busiest time of your life? Does it ever slow down!?

Yes and no it never slows down
I think life is always busy for most people today. I do think people need to learn to pick and choose what's most important. I know I have learned to do that. We have a friend visiting now that only has a few weeks to live and Steve and I have just took the time to enjoy his company. Thats what's important.
I think you just need to quit your job:-)
Shawn, my next post would then be "broke." :)
