We've been enjoying the snow & outdoors so far this winter. Today we were supposed to get somewhere around 3-5 inches, but have gotten closer to 6-8 and it's still snowing! I don't mind the snow, it's so pretty, but the cold weather that comes with it is another story. By Thursday the high is supposed to be -5! Yikes!
Jax & Raleigh are having issues with the ice and cold cracking their paws and making them bleed. It's to the point now where it's guaranteed to happen on every walk we take. To try and combat that we decided to buy dog booties! hahaha Yes, it's as funny as it seems. I'm afraid they didn't work at all. Jax could barely walk and Raleigh refused to even get up she got so frustrated. The one thing they were good for was making us crack up! We laughed until we cried at them trying to walk around the house. Oh well, we tried.

In other news--John bought some ice skates. He has decided to join a pick up hockey team! He's super excited & tested out his new skates the other night on a pond across the street. No worries, you can drive your car on the lakes here....seriously. I have no desire to get ice skates since I can barely roller blade on smooth pavement, but it was fun watching him & the dogs slide around.
I leave Sunday for Scottsdale, AZ so I'll get a nice break from the ice and snow pretty soon!
Oh, he bought me some ski goggles to keep the wind out of my eyes!
