Every now and then we'll see a dog footprint in the soil, which explains why the cantaloupe didn't survive. I caught Raleigh with a vine in her mouth the other day pulling as hard as she could! She looked up at me with sweet eyes as if to say, "I know I'm not allowed in the garden, but that vine technically grew out of the garden onto the lawn so it was fair game."
It really has been great having fresh vegetables this summer. It really amazes me that after the long hard frozen winter the ground gets warm enough to produce something. In the dead middle of winter you're totally convinced there's no hope for a garden...or warmth...ever. This was my first garden besides a few plants my mom did when I was little. It will be even better next year when I know a little more about what I'm doing!
Grape tomatoes...prob. my favorite of the 3 types we planted.
I'm not sure why all the peppers turned red b/c we planed different colors, but they were still good.
