About Me

I'm adventurous when I want to be, but I'm just as happy watching a movie at home. I'm married to my best friend who makes me laugh on a regular basis & a son that makes me happier then he will ever know. I strongly feel that the most important thing in life is your relationship with Christ and your relationship with others.

Cheap Thrill!!!

I'm not going to pretend like I'm some salon goddess...truth be told I'm the opposite of that. In fact, I've actually gone a whole year without getting my hair cut, trimmed, styled, anything. Sad isn't it?

So....what I'm trying to say is that this cheap thrill I just found may not be a secret to any of you reading this. You may roll your eyes & laugh out loud at me right now, but I'm willing to risk it all just in case there is one person that did not know this. Man...I've really built it up now. ;)

I recently discovered that you do not have to get a manicure to get your nails painted. In fact, it's a measly $5 (here in Cleveland anyway) to have your nails professionally painted. She shapes them up, buffs them a bit & puts a clear coat, 2 color coats & another clear coat! I'm amazed!!!

Getting my nails painted Saturday has given me so much joy! Every time I look down at them they look perfect & are lasting. AND you get a million colors to choose from! It's the best $5 ever spent & I mean that! Despite the fact that the girl went on & on & on about how my nails don't look good short, I'm still gitty about this cheap pick-me-up. If you've been a little down lately...try this!

I've attached one of my favorite videos about getting your nails done just for fun! I'll figure out how to attach the video one day when I have more time so for now, it's a link. :)

I'm with ya, pal... my nails are making me pretty happy too! What a great random stop we made... Now, just IMAGINE what a pedicure would do for ya!! I know that $25 (for the pedi) is a lot compared to the $5 for nails... but it might be a good investment! Just think it over... haha!

PS- we're working on that hair appointment for ya too, right?!

You can also ask for a newbe at a hair salon and get a great hair cut for like 1/2 the normal price...I just went to Carmen and Carmen normally youd have to pay about $60...I only had to pay $25
