About Me

I'm adventurous when I want to be, but I'm just as happy watching a movie at home. I'm married to my best friend who makes me laugh on a regular basis & a son that makes me happier then he will ever know. I strongly feel that the most important thing in life is your relationship with Christ and your relationship with others.

TV Tangle

I would like to be the kind of person that doesn't own a TV. I love those people, they read instead of watching & find other ways to pass their time. They are about 1,000 times cooler than I am. If you are one of those people please pat yourself on the back.

The problem is that I love TV. I love it. The worst part is it's the mind-numbing, unrealistic pointless shows that I like the most. Now I enjoy some TV with plot & suspense, but honestly if I listed all the shows that have been on my DVR at one point or another you would probably judge me. You would look at my shows & think I was a mindless idiot, but that is kind of the point. My mind is running all the time & it feels good to just watch something that doesn't require thought.

Most of the time I casually watch shows at my own leisure, but on occasion the TV monster gets me. He will grab me at the most inopportune times preventing me from accomplishing the days tasks. Has he ever gotten you? He really likes the Lifetime channel on rainy Sunday afternoons when you should be reading or napping. You've been warned...

Tonight I'm planning to join some friends to watch 90210 & Melrose Place. See...judging...I knew it! They are ridiculous, dramatic & absolutely absurd, but I love it because it's easy to follow & it's just plain entertaining. These two aren't particularly shows that I've seen more than once & truly love, but I'm sure with a few episodes I'll be anticipating every Tuesday night...it doesn't take much!

Maybe one day I'll throw my TV out.... ;)
