It's that time of the year where we start to plant a garden. We have started the seeds for our garden, but it's still a little to early to get them into the ground, sad isn't is? We also decided to do a herb garden this year in pots! This is the first time we've done this and I was really excited about the whole process. Now I need lots of recipes that call for fresh herbs because those are exactly the type I normally avoid. I can't wait for fresh vegetables from the garden this summer, yum!

a little over excited about the herbs

basil, thyme, oregano, mint, rosemary, sage & cilantro

I'm aware this may be more herbs than one might need so all you Rochester friends feel free to take what you need too!

Success!

We bought a small "green house" kit from home depot this year to get our garden started & so far it's worked nicely. The dirt expands with a few drops of water & is actually chopped coconut shells. It's fun to watch. John was laughing at me during all of this because I was like a little kid. Then he patted himself on the back for realizing it's stuff like this that will make him a cool dad--if I'm excited about it, surely our kids will be too.

"plant that seed, get behind me devil" (some of you know exactly what I'm talking about)

bring on the bell peppers

growing...growing...growing

already cookin' with the herbs! Ah yeah!

we bought this bulb two Christmas's ago and we keep it trimmed so it continues to bloom, this is the second bloom this year!
