About Me

I'm adventurous when I want to be, but I'm just as happy watching a movie at home. I'm married to my best friend who makes me laugh on a regular basis & a son that makes me happier then he will ever know. I strongly feel that the most important thing in life is your relationship with Christ and your relationship with others.

Thursday's Thought

"I get a false sense of power and control like making lists. I will even put things that I've already done on a list just so I can cross it off. However, when I cross off walking the dogs, finding a recipe for dinner or laundry it never gives me the same accomplished feeling. I think it's because I know they'll be right back on the list tomorrow, staring me in the face, glowing with a victorious glow & whispering 'we have won!'"

Ha. I never ever ever put "laundry" or "dishes" or what not on my lists, but I should. Maybe I'll start doing that today. For one, because I have 2 children living with me right now and cannot possibly keep up with my current exhaustion level and secondly, because maybe that would help motivate me to stay on top of those things. I always just think, "This is my life" and only make lists for extra things that aren't every day life. Anyways, just rambling now. We'll see. :)

so funny! that's exactly how I am. I have three different lists: #1-things to do today or tomorrow, #2-things to do eventually (like organize the photo boxes etc..)for when I happen to find some free time, and #3-things to buy whenever I happen to be at walmart..because these things can build up and I dont want to go to walmart until there is a good long list.

Ahh, lists! One of my favorite things :) I'm like you, friend- I make a list of EVERYTHING that needs to be done. And I'm so comforted to hear that I'm not the only one who will actually go back and add something to my list that I've already done just so I can cross it off! I mean, if I do something on a whim that makes me feel accomplished, it should have been on the list in the first place so I'm certainly gonna add it! There's nothing like the satisfaction of marking things off. I also have lists like Shirley (things to do sometime and things to buy). I was telling one of our office workers about my list obsession last week and showed her my list for the day and she laughed at me and said "Mrs. DelBonis, you don't just cross things off your list, you scribble them off so good you won't even remember what was there!" She's absolutely right too. What can I say? I am one list-lovin-girl!
